GCTV Events: 2 Guys Who Like To Talk Live Broadcast from the Grafton Common, June 25th, 2008
On June 25th, 2008, Grafton's 2 Guys Who Like To Talk, Bill Robidoux and Rick Schultze, realized a long time dream and, assisted by the Charter Communications Access Production Van, broadcast a live episode of 2 Guys from the Grafton Common. The event followed the Library's Summer Reading kickoff and featured interviews and audience participation giveaways. Following are some pictures from the big night, which the guys are hoping to make an annual 2 Guys Event.
Charter's Access Production Van parked and ready for broadcast next to the Gazebo on the Grafton Common.
Charter Communications Access Van Coordinator Joe Peters plugs in electrical lines to power the mobile production van. Thanks to Joe and the Charter van, this event was a full 3 camera shoot as if it were being broadcast live from the GCTV studio!

The crowd gathered early for the Library Summer Reading Kickoff Event, and most stuck around for the 2 Guys shoot for a chance to be on live TV.
As show time approached, our talent and camera crew took their places...
At exactly 8 pm, the open rolled, and we faded up on the 1st ever 2 Guys live broadcast from the Grafton Common.
The guys were joined by Children's Librarian Amanda Diurba as their 1st guest. They discussed the Grafton Library's Summer Reading Program and the preceding event.
Charter's Joe Peters directed the event, while Grafton Public Access Coordinator Danielle DeLucia served as audio, graphics, and roll in operator.
The live crowd really made the event exciting. Here the guys interview the magician from the Library's event.
Lots of Grafton personalities were on hand, like Town Moderator Roger Trahan, Jr. and GCTV's Gary Murray of the Gary Murray Show!
A Behind the Scenes look at the broadcast- as the Guys interview Gary Murray, GCTV Producer Bob DeToma stands by waiting for his next shot as camera operator.
As it got darker out, our portable lights became VERY important. Here you can see all 3 of our camera operators for the evening- from left to right: Bob DeToma, Sally Kent, and Paul Holdsworth.
Grafton Cable Television Oversight Committee member Corson Wyman, left, and GCTV Producer John LaPoint watch the broadcast from the audience.
Town Moderator Roger Trahan, Jr. was eventually convinced to join the guys on "stage" for an interview.
Camera Operator Sally Kent checks her shot in the viewfinder.
Camera Operator Paul Holdsworth eventually had to add his own two cents to the conversation and stepped to the audience mic.
An audience member digs in her purse for a paper clip at Bill's request. Eventually she found one and won a prize from the guys!
Drive In Theater's Chris Caron stopped in to chat with the guys as well!
